The History of Wyss Sport & Souvenirs
From a kiosk to a souvenir shop and years later to a sports shop; and another souenir shop.

1911
Johann Brunner and his wife Margaritha run a kiosk during the summer months with their children Emma, Kläri and Marthi.
1925
Winter operation begins. Emma and her husband Otto Konzett run the business independently.
1929
The kiosk is converted into a souvenir and sports shop.
1948
Emma and Otto's daughter Edeltraud marries Samuel Wyss. A year later, Toni is born.
1954
With the introduction of the first metal skis made by "Head", Samuel sets a new benchmark.
1960
Emma hands the business down to Edeltraud and Samuel.
1967
Samuel becomes the sole representative for Robert Lusser's revolutionary ski safety binding.
1974
Toni marries Marie-Louise Nobs. Together they have four children: Michael, Daniel, Anna-Käthi and Rosmarie. The shop is continuosly renovated and extended in response to increasing demand.
Toni takes over the Swiss Ski & Snowboard School Kleine Scheidegg from Marcel von Allmen. The school office is moved from the Hotel Bellevue des Alpes Kleine Scheidegg to Wyss Sport.
1978
The ground floor is renovated to include a ski workshop and sports shop.
1988
New stockrooms and a common room for the ski instructors and staff are built.
2000
The sports shop is refurbished and the rental facilities modernised.
2005
The upper floors of the building are converted into living quarters.
2008
Toni and Marie-Louise hand the business down to Daniel. He marries Conny Egger, and they have two children: Emily and Romy.
2011
The sports and souvenir shop is entirely rebuilt and extended, and now comes with large windows.
2013
Toni hands the Swiss Ski & Snowboard School Kleine Scheidegg down to Marcel "Hombi" Homberger, Christian Füegi and Stephan Rubin. School office and meeting point remain at Wyss Sport.
2014
Customers of Wyss Sport can book their equipment conveniently via the newly launched online rental shop.
2015
The old stone roof has had its days - May the new roof also last 100 years!
2016
Eveline and Hans Peter Nobs hand their Souvenir Shop "Zryd Souvenirs" in Interlaken to Daniel and Conny.
2017
New opening of "Wyss Souvenirs" in Interlaken.
